Here are some reflections on our mission in Crete. The project with The Tempe of Light is a unique task for light workers, who train in group initiation and discipleship, regardless of whether we know each other or not. The energy work we each support The Temple of Light with or carry out together, helps us to stay connected and inspired upwards / inwards. It connects us with the source of love and oneness, it strengthens the light in the individual and in humanity. Externally, we are trained in being able to work with many different people and in solving many different tasks under difficult conditions. The effort can hardly be associated with success in the usual sense. We are trained to work in confidence, without knowing the answers or solutions for tomorrow. We work for the existence of a wonderful place for people now and in the future. A place where those who are drawn to it can come and recharge, calm down, be healed, find new inspiration, and experience the greatness of nature and life. I'm sure The Golden Site will be everyone's place without private ownership. And I believe that in the long run we will be able to legalize the conditions that today are “home-constructed?
In relation to how big a project The Temple of Light and The Golden Site are, we are not many who are physically involved in rebuilding the place. Nevertheless, a basic goodwill is felt. We have about 70 members now, where we in oct. 2021 had 8-10 members. There will be more and more people following us on Facebook. - I wonder if there are more people out there who would support the project if they knew that their small or large efforts can help to ensure the existence of the place? We hope so. You will really be able to make a big difference. The Temple of light and The Golden Site deserve our commitment and love. And we deserve the joy we are filled with by staying there.
We are still in the clean-up phase, where we focus on repairing things that do not work and creating clean lines in relation to the authorities. We now have Emmanouil as caretaker. He is very good at repairing things and he is gradually getting a better to grips on thing. Emmanouil has a large local network, he speaks fluent Greek, Danish and English, which makes many things easier. Emanuouil's wife Athene, who is Danish, also helps us a lot. Emmanouil occasionally talks to the mayor of Rogdia about repairing the road up to the Golden Ground. As a result, half of the road has now been repaired, which is of the utmost importance for the accessibility of our place. Furthermore, Emmanuoil prepares the Sophia apartment for rent from week 33. Emmanouil receives when guests arrive, he checks them in, and he checks them out again on departure. The apartments must be left clean, otherwise you can pay to have the apartment cleaned.
The bulbs have been replaced in our 3 lampposts.
We have now come this far in relation to the Greek authorities, so we know that we must repay approx. 10,000 DKK pr. month for the next 5 - 7 years. This is for lack of building permit, fine for work received without contract and remaining property tax. From now on, we are going to pay property taxes in the future. We have always known that we have pushed these bills. We can no longer close our eyes and if we do not pay, the authorities can confiscate our property and sell it. This is probably what is called the "accounting hour".
So far, we are completely dependent on donations. It's about. 20 people who donate between 4,000 and 6,000 kroner in total each month. These amounts make a crucial difference to our finances and thank you so much for your support! Unfortunately, this is not enough when we also must pay DKK 10,000 every month to the authorities. Honestly, I can say we are running out of money??? If anyone wants to help us financially, we would love to hear a lot from you.

A lot is happening on The Golden Ground in terms of maintenance and repairs:
In the month of May, 4 Greek people have gone through the whole place. They have cleared weeds, and pruned trees and shrubs. The vegetation grows very lush on the ground. Now it has again become more accessible and neater when the weeds have not taken over.
Emmanouil has replaced several defective door locks. We have lost furniture and beds, so in future we will lock the premises that are not used. He has also replaced the roller nets in the window sections so that we can have open windows and get air into hot periods without the insects entering the apartments. And now these nets look really nice again.
In May, the toilets from The Social House stopped completely, the drain from kitchen was also clogged. Unfortunately there were 15 people on the Site. This has often happened before, and we cannot live with it. Emmanouil picked up his excavator and found that the sewer pipes were broken, full of tree roots and dirt. There are many bends of 90 gr. And the pipes are smaller than standard pipes for this purpose. Then again, a finding that some of the original is established incorrectly. Together with a plumber, Emmanouil has now replaced the sewer pipes. A new fascine will also be established, as the old one has stopped. And a broken toilet bowl has been replaced. Again, it all works as it should. This excavation work has been carried out on the cafe area. The tiles that have been removed during a previous excavation. We would like to have the tiles laid again. It will make the cafe area more accessible and more beautiful. When we can afford it, we put the tiles back on.
At Yvonne's house, the hot water tank has been leaking for a long time. The water tank is on the roof, and the water penetrates into Yvonne's house and causes moisture problems. I think there must be a lot of water and energy waste from here. This hot water tank supplies all apartments in Yvonne's house with hot water. If it goes off, people cannot get a hot bath. That is why we have chosen to invest in a new one with a solar collector. The new container will be established soon by local professionals, and it will be placed in a new place so that it cannot cause moisture problems
It is a necessary clean-up work. The downside is that it costs money. These expenses far exceed what we are currently getting into donations and rental income. I believe that income and expenses can come into balance later, but this year we do not have very many rentals at the same time as we have to spend money on repairing damage and necessary maintenance.
We are still working on getting the accounts ready. Everything is posted. We are in the process of having the auditor do the last thing. It's quite complicated. Henrik, our treasurer, and I do not have the skills to figure out what is needed, but we provide the necessary information as they are requested. Accountant also works voluntarily, so it is difficult to speed up the process. But when the accounts are ready, we must hold a general meeting. I would very much like to see democracy in play again. For example, we are only 4 people on the board, which is vulnerable.
With the wish of God's blessing, you are sent the most loving summer greetings from The Golden Foundation / The Temple of Light in Crete
