Dear Visitor
Greetings from the Temple of Light in Crete May 2022
For 14 days in March, 11 people, most of them pensioners, have been on the Golden Ground to bring new life to the place. And there really came life. We were so "skilled" that we hit the coldest period of March in 50 years. In Denmark there was high sun from morning to evening, while in Crete we had cold, rain, storm, thunder, cloudy, actually really harsh weather, as it can now be there in our dear place. Even the local Greeks wondered what the weather gods were up to.
Still, the mood was high and it was gone. The stain on the system, both above and below, was like new when the windows were plastered and the curtains washed and ironed. Big, nice work.
All apartments were thoroughly cleaned, main clean, as they say. They are now super ready for guests. When it was so cold for the 2 weeks, we had electric heat running, both the "tractors" on the walls and heating appliances. I was excited about whether there was sufficient capacity on our power grid and could see that we had power all the time. The toilets / drainage system also worked flawlessly. It was a really good experience, as we had time in all the apartments and in the Social House. |

Slope towards the valley and the Temple Garden The Temple Garden received a thorough and loving hand. Withered leaves were swept away from many years. Shrubs and trees got with the pruning shears, weeds were weeded in all the beds and Aloe Vera, lavender, rosemary, thyme were planted. Local species that can hopefully cope with the climate there. Again, The Temple Garden is clean and appealing to stay in, and you can walk around freely without getting branches in your eyes. The energy here is still wonderful.
On the slope towards the valley, shrubs and trees were pruned and new paths were created so that you can get back to the benches that are there. We were told that we should connect with the devas of the valley, who wanted to go all the way up to the ground.

| Garden furniture and cleaning All tables and benches were thoroughly cleaned with a wire brush and water. There are really many. We probably think we found them all. It was painted for several days in a Lord's weather, truly a cold pleasure. Hats off to the retirees, they were mega cool.
The empty apartment and garage were properly cleaned out and up. Old building materials, defective garden furniture, clutter and junk were thrown out in a large pile in the parking lot. Good advice was expensive. What to do with big junk in Crete when you do not know if they have a recycling / dumping site when you do not have a trailer or container. Can such a thing be rented on these edges? Someone in the group had seen a large, solid trailer keep on its way up the mountain. I got our caretaker, who is Greek, to ask if we could collaborate on that trailer and our garbage. Unfortunately, the trailer was not theirs. It belonged to a man who had a cafe on the main street in Rogdia, he is married to a Dane. Then it may well be that most of us were going to the cafe that night. Here we met Emmanouil, who had started the café two months ago and who owned the trailer.
Emmanouil Emmanouil seems to be our savior in many ways. He came the next day and drove away with our junk. He has lived in Denmark for 34 years, has run taverns in Copenhagen, an import company and much more. He speaks fluent Danish, English and Greek, was born in Rogdia and has now returned here with his Danish wife. During the remaining week that we were still in Crete, I was with Emmanouil for 18 hours. He advised and helped with everything and has continued to offer to help us. In addition, Emmnaouil would like to pick up guests at the airport in Heraklion. Arriving there many guests at once, he organizes several cars and drivers.
Now the hammer falls We (Yvonne and TGF) have all these years neglected to keep our obligations to the authorities in Crete. Tax return, property tax, VAT return, none of this we have stated or paid, there are now fines. We (Yvonne and TGF) have a large bill for lack of a building permit for 350 m2, which was built without being approved. In addition, we have been fined for undeclared work (a gardener with whom we had no contract). Via an accountant, Emmanouil found out that we are in real, bad standing down there. We have to do something about it now, otherwise the authorities will make an outlay on our property / sell it at a forced auction. Even though it has been gnawing and lurking in me for many years, it was still very uncomfortable to be confronted with the consequences now.
One owner - The Golden Foundation We are advised that we must be 1 owner. It will be hassle and cumbersome to fight our case through with two owners. Therefore, it is proposed that Yvonne give up her 1/3, her house to TGF. TGF does not have the finances to pay Yvonne for the house. On the other hand, TGF must take over all of Yvonne's obligations to the authorities in Crete, as well as maintain her house, which is in a very poor condition due to a leaky roof with mold as a result. Although we make this merger, there is no guarantee that we will be able to raise the money needed to keep the place. If we can do what we absolutely hope for and go for, then the idea is that Yvonne can use parts of her house as often as she pleases.

Great financial demands Ahead are negotiations with the tax authorities on the repayment of our debts and on the reduction of their claims. Before we can start paying installments, we need to have set up a Greek bank account. We can not transfer the money from our Danish bank account. You can not create a Greek bank account when you have outstanding taxes and authorities. So it bites itself in the tail, but we have to solve that. Once we have made agreements to repay what we owe to the government, it is painfully necessary that we pay the agreed amounts every month. Without knowing the total amount, I think it will be approx. 12,000 DDK every month. In addition, there are expenses for those who have to help us: Emmanouil, accountant, lawyer and engineers. We also need to get the gray car going again and we have to repair, paint and improve our building stock, which unfortunately is quite neglected.
Togetherness and "Yes we can" This task requires its light workers, its steeled women and men, who will stand together and bring sacrifices to this task. We must be determined that we will preserve Lystemplet as common property, as the place of humanity. Right now we are 41 members. In the last month, there are 17 people who have donated a monthly contribution, it has become about 2,800 DDK. Every penny is received with gratitude and it is a good start. The rental of the place has almost come to a standstill. - So dear friends, we are going beyond the steppes to new networks and new people who want to join and who will experience the magic of our beautiful pilgrim's place. I keep saying it's a matter of being many enough. Now I am looking for 200 people who will donate 200 DDK every month and rentals every week, spring, summer and autumn. We have to make a quantum leap, let's do it together, it's the most fun. Everyone can take part in the energy work, as we learned to that extent from Asger, "do the energy work first". Everyone can donate a little, many can donate more, some can donate a lot.
| | Think what God and mankind have created. Nature, great cathedrals. I'm thinking about how Findhorn began. How fun was it when they lived 3 in a caravan in the middle of the rugged Scottish countryside for years? - For us it will be fun!
We are in the Easter week. The theme is death and resurrection. It makes so much sense in many contexts, including in The Golden Foundation.
All you dear people out there, I wish you a very happy Easter.
"the Temple of Light in Crete - then the sun shines!" Loving regards Elisabeth Ejlekær Nielsen
